PARLIAMENT DEADLOCK: Opposition Stands Firm on Education Minister’s Resignation Before Discussion

A political deadlock continues in Parliament over the NEET paper leak issue, with the opposition insisting that Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan must resign before any discussion takes place. During an INDIA Alliance meeting in the Parliament complex, opposition parties including Congress, SP, RJD, TMC and others decided to maintain their stand and not allow discussion without the resignation demand being addressed. Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge argued that ministers resigned in previous governments when allegations emerged and demanded accountability in the current case as well. The ruling party, however, accused the opposition of avoiding discussion and said the government is ready to debate the issue without any conditions. BJP leaders argued that solutions for students’ concerns should be discussed inside the House rather than blocking proceedings. The dispute between both sides has kept parliamentary proceedings disrupted, with neither side appearing ready to compromise on their positions.
