Big Update: Parliament Remains Deadlocked Over NEET Paper Leak Row

Parliament remained deadlocked for the third consecutive day during the Monsoon Session over the NEET paper leak controversy and allegations of police action against protesting students. Both the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed repeated disruptions, forcing multiple adjournments before proceedings were suspended for the day. The government maintained that it is fully prepared to hold a discussion on the NEET issue and the alleged paper leak, stressing its commitment to transparency and action against those responsible. However, the opposition insisted that any debate could take place only after Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan resigns. Congress, supported by the Samajwadi Party, accused the government of failing students and demanded accountability. Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi also called for action against those responsible for police violence on students and urged an apology to the student community. BJP leaders, including JP Nadda, accused the opposition of politicising the issue instead of seeking justice for students. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reiterated that those involved in the paper leak would face strict punishment, while the political standoff continued to stall parliamentary business.
