Vishnu Vishal reveals the life-changing advice from Aamir Khan

'Don't lose hope': 'Gatta Kusthi 2' star Vishnu Vishal reveals the life-changing advice from Aamir Khan that changed his mindset

The success of ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has given Vishnu Vishal plenty to celebrate. The film has crossed Rs 46 crore at the worldwide box office, making it one of the actor’s biggest commercial successes in recent years. The numbers have impressed the trade, but Vishnu Vishal says the emotional connection with the audience is very important to him. After a period of mixed box office results, the actor is enjoying a strong comeback and looking forward to his upcoming films with renewed confidence.

Vishnu Vishal reveals how Aamir Khan helped him through difficult times

Vishnu Vishal spoke about his deep friendship with Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan and the priceless advice he received during one of the most difficult periods of his career in an interview with Variety India. “Every time I felt low, I reached out to Aamir sir. He always encouraged me and reminded me that there is always a chance to bounce back,” Vishnu said. Recalling Aamir’s words, he added, “He told me, ‘Vishnu, if you get into a negative zone, you’ll always remain there. You are talented, I have seen your films. You understand scripts well. Just stay focused. Ups and downs happen in cinema. Even I have faced it. Laal Singh Chaddha didn’t do well. If it can happen to me, it can happen to anyone. So don’t lose hope.'” Vishnu said those words stayed with him and gave him the confidence to keep moving forward.

Aamir Khan’s praise for ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’

The actor also shared that Aamir Khan was among the first people he informed after ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ opened strongly at the box office. “I sent him a screenshot of the weekend collections after the first weekend. He was very happy and immediately called me,” Vishnu recalled. He added, “He told me, ‘Vishnu, I’m so happy that you have bounced back.’ Hearing that from him made this success even more special.” Vishnu also revealed that their friendship grew when Aamir Khan stayed with his family in Chennai during his mother’s treatment. Later, the Bollywood star also helped Vishnu Vishal and his wife, Jwala Gutta, by introducing them to an IVF specialist in Mumbai. The actor even shared that Aamir Khan inspired the name of their daughter, Mira.

Actor stays focused on meaningful films after successful comeback

While ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has restored his winning streak, Vishnu Vishal says it has not changed the way he selects films. “I’m not changing anything. I believe every film has its own audience. My only focus is to make a good film, not to chase numbers,” he said. The actor is currently working on ‘Irandu Vaanam,’ his first full-fledged romantic film, and another boxing-based project directed by Arunraja Kamaraj. Go to Source
