In the video, a transporter, Santosh Sanap, can be seen sharing the unexpected experience, questioning the lack of safety measures. Sanap claimed hundreds of nails were found on the expressway. He alleged that despite alerting the police, no prompt action was taken. A crowd can be seen at the spot in the video.
News agency PTI cited an official from the Daulatabad police station as saying that motorists reported the hazard at around 1am “Our teams rushed to the spot. We are still determining how many nails were placed, but tyres of three cars were definitely damaged,” the official said.
Further, police have summoned the road maintenance contractor and individuals who had stopped motorists at the scene to aid in the investigation.

Authorities are investigating whether the act was intentional and are working to ensure no further danger remains on the expressway.
