Antoinette Bower passed away at the age of 93 on April 30, according to a recent report shared by The Hollywood Reporter. The movie star was living at the Eagle Rock senior retirement home in Los Angeles at the time of her death. The news was confirmed in a statement by her close friend, Carlotta Glackin. The reason for her passing was not shared with the public.

Who was ‘The Twilight Zone’ star Antoinette Bower

Antoinette Bower was born in Baden-Baden, Germany, in 1932 to a German mother and an English father. She started her career as a field language supervisor and welfare counselor in the late 1940s, helping people affected by WW2. After moving to Canada with her family in 1953, she started working in the public affairs department at a broadcasting firm. During her tenure there, she was also tasked with writing scripts and conducting live TV interviews.In 1956, she scored some of her first acting roles as a minor character in two series. These included ‘The Tell-Tale Heart’ (1958) and ‘Hudson’s Bay’ (1959). From the 1960s to the 1980s, Bower became a household name for scoring roles in some of the biggest series of the time. This included roles like ‘Star Trek’, where she appeared as the shape-shifting alien Sylvia, as well as her portrayal of Eva Norda in ‘The Twilight Zone.’ Over the years, she honed her acting skills and worked on around 100 acting projects. These also included ‘Kojak’, ‘Columbo’, ‘Perry Mason’, ‘The Fugitive’, ‘Hawaii Five-O’, and Murder, She Wrote.’ She also had a recurring role on ‘Neon Rider’ for about three seasons.On the big screen, she appeared in the Filipino horror film ‘Superbeast’, released in 1972. She also appeared in ‘Prom Night’ (1980) and ‘The Evil That Men Do’ (1984), in which she starred opposite Charles Bronson.
