Actor Akansha Ranjan Kapoor and filmmaker Sharan Sharma have begun a new chapter in their lives after getting married in an intimate ceremony attended by family members and close friends. The wedding took place on Saturday in Mumbai and received heartfelt wishes from loved ones and members of the film fraternity. The celebrations also gained attention after Akansha’s sister, Anushka Ranjan, shared an emotional message on social media. Sharan Sharma’s journey in the film industry

Sharan Sharma started his career behind the scenes in television. He worked with Karan Johar’s team on the celebrity talk show ‘Koffee With Karan’ between 2013 and 2014. He later joined the team of ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’ as an assistant director.Sharan made his directorial debut in 2020 with ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, starring Janhvi Kapoor. He reunited with Janhvi for ‘Mr. & Mrs. Mahi’, which also starred Rajkummar Rao. Sharan is now preparing for his next directorial venture, ‘Kuku Ki Kundli’, featuring Bhuvan Bam and Wamiqa Gabbi in the lead roles.

Akansha Ranjan and Sharan Sharma’s private wedding attended by close friends and family

Akansha and Sharan chose to keep their wedding celebrations simple and intimate. Instead of following traditional wedding rituals, the couple opted for a registered marriage surrounded by their closest family members and friends. The festivities began with a cocktail party held in Mumbai ahead of the wedding ceremony. Among those present at the event were Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Janhvi Kapoor, Vaani Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha, who joined the couple in celebrating the special occasion.

Anushka Ranjan pens an emotional note

Following the wedding, Anushka Ranjan shared a collection of pictures from the celebrations and expressed her happiness in an emotional social media post. In her heartfelt note, she welcomed Sharry into the family and wished the newlyweds a lifetime of happiness. She wrote, “Yesterday I witness the most beautiful day of my life. I saw my Angel Kanchi walk down the aisle towards her forever person and I couldn’t be happier. Never have I seen 2 people more perfect for each other in almost every way and it’s an honour to have Sharry as a part of our lives. As much as I love my sister. I love him little more for showing her how amazing she is God bless you both with all the amazing things life has to offer.
