Deepika Padukone offered fans a rare pregnancy update as she awaits the arrival of her second child with hubby Ranveer Singh.The actress took to her social media handle on Saturday, to share the physical challenges she has been experiencing during her third trimester. Deepika, who has largely stayed away from the spotlight in recent months, shared a reel on her handle, that accurately depicted her state.

Deepika and Ranveer announce second pregnancy
Deepika and Ranveer announced in April that they are expecting their second child through a heartwarming Instagram post featuring their daughter, Dua, holding up a positive pregnancy test. The announcement was met with an outpouring of love from fans and celebrities alike.The couple welcomed their first child, daughter Dua, in September 2024. Since then, Deepika has been making waves online for promoting a more balanced work-life balance in the film industry, asking for an 8-hour shift. The star has since, notably, dropped out of several big-ticket films and maintained a rather low public profile.

Despite her pregnancy, Deepika has continued to fulfil professional commitments. She recently completed a shooting an international schedule for Shah Rukh Khan’s upcoming action thriller ‘King’ in Cape Town before returning to Mumbai. She will reportedly be seen in a leading role alongside Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. The action thriller is scheduled to release in theatres on December 24, 2026. She is also set to make a special appearance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Love & War’ and will feature in the pan-Indian Telugu action film ‘Raaka’ (formerly known as AA22xA6), headlined by Allu Arjun.
