Heavy monsoon rains have disrupted normal life across Delhi-NCR, affecting Delhi, Noida, Ghaziabad, and Gurugram. Several areas have witnessed severe waterlogging, turning roads into pools and causing long traffic jams. In Noida Sector 62 and near Mahamaya Flyover, vehicles were seen moving through flooded roads, while commuters struggled to find autos and taxis. Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram also faced waterlogged streets, with vehicles struggling to pass through. In Delhi’s East of Kailash, a large tree collapsed due to heavy rain, damaging a scooter and blocking traffic as it remained uncleared for hours. In Ghaziabad, an auto carrying schoolchildren got stuck in water, forcing students and the driver to push it out. Haridwar also reported heavy rainfall, with an underpass flooded and a bus stranded in deep water. Meanwhile, in Bhiwandi, Maharashtra, youths were seen performing dangerous stunts in a swollen river despite warnings from authorities. Officials urged people to avoid flood-affected areas, as such acts could prove fatal. Overall, the rains have exposed major drainage and civic management challenges across cities.
