The widespread impact of heavy monsoon rains across several parts of India, disrupting normal life and causing flood-related incidents. According to the report, continuous rainfall in Delhi-NCR has led to severe waterlogging, traffic congestion, and school closures in some areas. In Uttarakhand’s Tehri Garhwal district, part of a house reportedly collapsed after heavy rain near the Surkanda Devi area, although no casualties were reported. The report also states that nearly 3,000 LPG cylinders were swept into the Patalganga River in Maharashtra’s Raigad district after floodwaters entered an HPCL bottling plant. In Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district, a cloudburst triggered a flash flood carrying mud, trees, and debris through the Gadsa Valley. It further claims that a young girl in Gurugram escaped with minor injuries after falling into a rain-filled roadside pit, while in Maharashtra’s Bhiwandi, people were seen performing dangerous stunts in a swollen river despite official warnings. Gujarat’s Surat also witnessed severe flooding, forcing residents to use boats for transportation.
