Subramaniam Siva and Kasthuri Raja clarify on Dhanush’s political entry

Is Dhanush making his political entry? Subramaniam Siva and Kasthuri Raja issue clarification on the buzz

Dhanush has been making headlines not only for his upcoming films but also for rumours surrounding a possible political entry. The actor is currently busy with a packed lineup that includes ‘OM,’ a project with Mari Selvaraj, and biographical films based on Ilaiyaraaja and A. P. J. Abdul Kalam. Amid these announcements, a photograph of a fan club flag featuring Dhanush went viral on social media, leading to speculation that the actor was preparing for a political launch.

Subramaniam Siva dismisses claims of a new political flag

The rumours gained momentum after the flag carried the slogan ‘Ennampol Than Vaazhkai,’ with many claiming it was a newly introduced political symbol. However, director and fan club leader Subramaniam Siva strongly denied the reports during a recent film event. “This is not a newly created flag. Our fan club members have been using this same flag for nearly 15 years during weddings, ear-piercing ceremonies, film releases and other celebrations,” he said, as reported by Nakkheeran. He added, “Some fans redesigned it in a smaller format to fit on cars during this year’s fan club meeting. People mistakenly assumed it was a new flag and linked it to Dhanush’s political entry.” His clarification has effectively put an end to the speculation surrounding the viral image.

Kasthuri Raja responds to questions on Dhanush entering politics

Dhanush’s father, filmmaker Kasthuri Raja, was also asked about the actor’s political future at a recent public event. Earlier, he had remarked that members of his family, including his sons and grandchildren, could enter politics one day. When questioned specifically about Dhanush, he chose not to make any announcement. “As I said earlier, that question should be asked of Dhanush himself,” Kasthuri Raja stated, avoiding further speculation. His measured response has been viewed as a refusal to confirm any political plans.

Dhanush’s film focus remains strong as political rumours continue

With Vijay’s successful transition from cinema to politics, discussions about which actor might follow a similar path have become common in Tamil film circles. Dhanush’s name has frequently surfaced in such conversations, especially whenever fan club activities attract attention online. Despite the ongoing rumours, both Subramaniam Siva and Kasthuri Raja have made it clear that there is no official confirmation of a political move. Meanwhile, Dhanush is busy with his film commitments, with a number of big projects lined up for release in the next few years. Go to Source
