Monsoon Crisis: Delhi–Dehradun Expressway Reported to Have Potholes After First Rainfall

Reports have emerged claiming that potholes have appeared on the newly built Delhi–Dehradun Expressway after the first spell of rainfall. According to information circulating on social media, a stretch near Saharanpur is said to be affected, where visuals of the expressway surface show two apparent potholes forming on the otherwise newly constructed highway. The viral video shows a portion of the road where the surface appears to have slightly caved in, leading to concerns and criticism online about the quality of construction. The expressway, which was recently inaugurated and is considered a major infrastructure project for high-speed connectivity between Delhi and Dehradun, is now under public scrutiny following these claims. Social media users are widely sharing the video and questioning how such damage could appear so soon after completion. However, at this stage, these are only claims circulating online, and no official confirmation or response has been issued by the authorities regarding the reported issue.
