Sadie Sink landed 'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' role WITHOUT an audition; reveals Tom Holland made her feel welcomed on set

‘Stranger Things’ break out star, Sadie Sink has revealed how she landed her mystery role in Marvel Studios’ ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’. Unlike other talents who have to go through long audition processes, the actress revealed that she landed a major role in the film, ‘without an audition’.In an interview with Nylon, Sink shared that she was offered the role after previously working with director Destin Daniel Cretton on the 2017 drama ‘The Glass Castle’. Interestingly, the actress was not even given a script until she arrived in London to shoot on Day 1 of the schedule. She also stated that the script was held back in efforts to keep details of the film under wraps.Sink also praised co-star Tom Holland for giving her a warm welcome on the sets. She said, “It was interesting stepping into that space and being a little bit of an outsider in that way, but he could not have been more welcoming, and just the whole crew in general.””He was just so relaxed and open, and I felt very at ease,” she added.Reflecting on joining one of Hollywood’s biggest franchises, Sink shared, “I knew that Marvel was a big deal and had a big brand, especially Spider-Man. I know there’s a huge fan base, but it feels really big. I think these blockbuster movies are a whole different beast.”Marvel has been keeping details about Sink’s character a secret. The actress, who began film promotions with the cast last month, has also shied away from revealing her character. Meanwhile, rumours doing the rounds claim that Sink has been cast as an X-Man in the upcoming fourth ‘Spider-Man’ film led by Holland.’Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is scheduled to release in theatres on July 30. The film also stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal and Mark Ruffalo.
