‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is heading into the final day of its first week at the box office. Directed by Ahmed Khan and led by an ensemble cast fronted by Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty and Paresh Rawal, the film saw its weekday momentum cool off on Day 6, dropping to Rs 6.15 crore net after a mini-surge on Day 5. Even so, the chaotic jungle comedy has comfortably crossed the Rs 87 crore domestic net mark and Rs 129 crore worldwide gross heading into Thursday, and with Day 7, the film looks poised to close its first week just north of the Rs 90 crore net milestone, right before it goes head-to-head with YRF’s big-ticket release ‘Alpha’ starring Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol and Sharvari from Friday.The film’s second week will unfold in the shadow of ‘Alpha’, the Alia Bhatt, Bobby Deol and Sharvari-led YRF release opening Friday, which is expected to command a large share of screens and multiplex attention. With an expected steep second-Friday drop, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ is likely to settle into the Rs 2-3 crore net range, with weekday collections through Week 2 settling somewhere between Rs 1-2 crore net per day as new releases enter the scene.

‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Day 1-6 earnings

According to Sacnilk, the film opened with limited Thursday previews of Rs 3.75 crore, before officially releasing on Friday to Rs. 15.25 crore Day 1 net. Collections climbed through the weekend with Rs. 20.10 crore on Day 2 (Saturday) and a peak of Rs. 24.75 crore on Day 3 (Sunday), the film’s biggest single day so far. That took the opening weekend domestic net to Rs. 63.75 crore, with a worldwide gross of Rs. 93.45 crore.The expected weekday correction arrived on Day 4 (Monday), with the film settling at Rs. 8.50 crore net, taking the domestic net to Rs. 72.25 crore and the worldwide gross to Rs. 106.48 crore. Day 5 (Tuesday) then delivered a mild upswing, growing 8.8% over Day 4 to collect Rs. 9.25 crore net and pushing the domestic net past Rs. 81 crore, with the worldwide gross crossing Rs. 120 crore.Day 6 (Wednesday) saw the film netting Rs 6.15 crore marking a drop of well over 30% from Day 5. This took the total India net to Rs 87.50 crore and the total India gross to just above Rs 104 crore, while overseas added another Rs 2 crore, pushing the worldwide gross past Rs 129 crore.

‘Welcome to the Jungle’ Day 7 live tracking

Moving into Day 7, ‘Welcome to the Jungle’ has brought in Rs. 0.63 crore net so far from 3,128 active shows, according to Sacnilk.This pushes its domestic net collection to Rs. 88.28 crore and total domestic gross to Rs. 105.17 crore, with the final figures for the day still coming in.
