The actor recreated the iconic ‘Kadukuvara’ scene from the 2005 Malayalam drama ‘Achuvinte Amma’.The Instagram reel has since gone viral across social media. The ‘Urumi’ actor shared the video on Instagram, recreating the famous cooking sequence in which Urvashi’s character explains a recipe to Meera Jasmine using broken English. Why the ‘Kadukuvara’ scene remains unforgettable
Released in 2005, ‘Achuvinte Amma’ was directed by Sathyan Anthikad and written by Ranjan Pramod from a story by Rajesh Jayaraman. The family drama featured Urvashi, Meera Jasmine and Narain in the lead roles, while Ilaiyaraaja composed the music. The film marked Urvashi’s return to Malayalam cinema after a gap of six years. Her performance received much praises from audiences and critics and earned her the National Film Award for Best Supporting Actress.The “Kadukuvara” sequence continues to enjoy cult status.
