Alia Bhatt, who has been busy promoting her upcoming film Alpha, recently addressed her appearance on Samay Raina’s India’s Got Latent 2 with a humorous response that left fans amused. The actress, who appeared on the show’s premiere episode alongside her Alpha co-star Sharvari, playfully responded to a question about whether she was paid for her appearance.During a promotional event at JECRC University in Jaipur earlier this week, Alia interacted with students while promoting Shiv Rawail’s spy thriller. One student asked her why she chose to appear on the controversial comedy show. Before she could answer, someone from the audience shouted, “Paisa!” (money).Taking the comment in stride, Alia quipped, “Kaun bola? Gareeb aadmi.” (Who said that? Some poor guy), drawing laughter from the audience.

A callback to India’s Got Latent 2

Alia’s remark was a playful reference to a memorable moment from the premiere episode of India’s Got Latent 2. During the show, host Samay Raina had asked a contestant, “What does a girl want from a man?” When someone from the audience shouted, “Paisa!” , Alia had asked, “Who said that?” , to which Samay jokingly replied, “Koi gareeb aadmi.”The callback wasn’t lost on Samay either. Sharing a clip of the Jaipur interaction on his Instagram Stories, he wrote, “Hahahaha full kill,” accompanied by laughing emojis.

Samay Raina praised Alia and Sharvari

The premiere episode of India’s Got Latent 2, which was released simultaneously on Netflix and YouTube, featured Alpha stars Alia Bhatt and Sharvari as guests. After the episode aired, Samay had praised both actresses for their willingness to join in on the fun. He wrote on social media, “Soooo much love for @aliaabhatt and @sharvari for being so chill and fun. It takes a lot of guts for someone at such heights of the game. Humbled by your humility and learnt so much from you. I was always a fan of your work, but now an even bigger fan of the people you are.”

About Alpha

Directed by Shiv Rawail, Alpha is billed as the first female-led film in the YRF Spy Universe, which includes blockbuster titles such as Ek Tha Tiger, Tiger Zinda Hai, War, Pathaan, Tiger 3 and War 2. Starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, the action thriller is set to release in theatres on July 3, 2026. Go to Source
