BYD India on Wednesday increased prices of select variants in its electric passenger vehicle portfolio by ₹50,000 to ₹1 lakh, citing rising input costs, inflationary pressures and continued investments in network expansion and technology.

The revised prices, effective July 1, apply to select variants of the BYD Atto 3, Sealion 7 and Seal. Prices of certain variants of the Atto 3 and eMAX 7 remain unchanged, the company said.

Alongside the price revision, the company introduced new eMAX 7 Comfort variants starting at ₹27.90 lakh (ex-showroom). The new variants feature a larger 71.8 kWh battery pack as part of an updated product lineup for the Indian market.

“As we continue to invest in technology, customer experience and network expansion, we have implemented a price revision on a few variants in our range,” said Rajeev Chauhan, Head of Electric Passenger Vehicles Business at BYD India.

BYD India currently offers the Atto 3, Sealion 7, Seal and eMAX 7 in the domestic market and operates a dealership network of 48 showrooms across 40 cities, according to the company.
