A few days ago, Tollywood giant Pawan Kalyan along with director Sujeeth announced the return of the highly successful action thriller ‘They Call Him OG’ franchise. If the latest speculation is to be believed, actress Pooja Hegde is being considered for the second part of the film.

Pooja Hegde in talks?

Although the makers have not officially announced the inclusion of the ‘Retro’ actress, according to a report by 123Telugu Pooja Hegde seems to be in talks for joining the franchise.The first film featured Priyanka Mohan as the female lead. Her character died in the middle of the story, leading to speculation that a new actress could join the sequel. The rumour has spread quickly on social media and fans have started discussing the possible casting.

It is imperative to mention that Pooja Hegde recently changed her look, debuting a chic, shoulder-length bob hairstyle taking a break from her signature long hair. She took to her Instagram account to share a picture and called herself a “short hair girlie.”A few days ago, Pawan Kalyan’s team shared a special video showing the first creative meeting between Pawan Kalyan and director Sujeeth. The video gave fans a look at how the idea for the project first began. Sharing the video, the team wrote, “Before the storm arrives… there’s a moment of silence. The untold story of Gambheera is ready to unfold. Director @SujeethSign and @PawanKalyan Garu reunite under Pawan Kalyan Creative Works to expand the #OGUniverse saga.”

Pooja Hegde’s next film

Meanwhile, Pooja Hegde has multiple projects in her kitty as she is working for her next romance drama film with Dulquer Salmaan. Directed by Ravi Nelakuditi, the film is currently being referred to as ‘DQ41’. The film also marks the return of the ‘Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo’ actress to Telugu cinema after some time.She was recently seen in the Hindi rom-com ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ alongside Varun Dhawan and Mrunal Thakur.
