Saif Ali Khan makes strong statement on paparazzi culture, says personal boundaries must be respected: ‘My life was fine without them’

Saif Ali Khan has shared his views on the ever-growing paparazzi culture in India, expressing concern over the constant public exposure celebrities face. The actor believes that being photographed every day diminishes the sense of mystery associated with movie stars and also stressed the importance of respecting personal boundaries.During a conversation with Barkha Dutt, Saif explained why he is not particularly fond of the paparazzi culture that has become increasingly common in the entertainment industry. Reflecting on the impact of constant media attention, he said, “I feel it takes away from stardom in a huge way because you keep seeing these guys every day and then it takes away from that magic of the screen.”While acknowledging that paparazzi help bring celebrities closer to audiences, Saif admitted that he never felt the need for such visibility. “My life was fine without them,” he said, adding that photographers and journalists serve entirely different roles and should not be treated as the same.

Saif Ali Khan recalls paparazzi entering his residence

The actor also addressed an incident in which photographers reportedly entered the premises of his residence. Speaking about the episode, Saif remarked that the situation had gone too far and emphasised that there should be clear boundaries. He said the paparazzi had “crossed a line”, adding that “everyone needs to be in limits.” Saif further clarified that while he respects journalism, paparazzi culture is a separate phenomenon altogether. According to the actor, maintaining privacy is essential despite being a public figure, and he believes there should be mutual respect when it comes to personal space.
