Actor-politician Ravi Kishan has opened up about the struggles that defined the early years of his career, revealing that he spent 34 years facing rejection before finally finding widespread recognition. Speaking on the reality show Alliance, which he is participating in with his daughter Rivva Kishan, the actor recalled watching his contemporaries become stars while he continued to wait for his opportunity.Hosted by Kunal Kemmu, Alliance recently premiered on Prime Video. In the show’s first episode, Ravi reflected on the setbacks he faced despite being fully trained and prepared for the industry.

‘Everyone became stars, I was left behind’

Speaking to his fellow contestants, Ravi said he often wondered why success continued to elude him even though he had worked hard to prepare himself as an actor.”Aise hi log pehle mujhe nakaarte the. Stars bante jaa rahe the 90s mein. I could see them… meri awaaz achhi thi, main trained tha, ghudsawaari, fight, Urdu, Hindi, sab kuch, theatre, dancer. Puri taiyaari thi. I was well-prepared. Uske baad bhi dekh raha hoon main peeche reh gaya. Sab aage chale gaye,” he said.He admitted that while he believed his turn would eventually come, he had no idea it would take more than three decades. “Unka samay aagaya toh mera bhi aayega. But mera 34 year baad aayega ye nahi maalum tha,” he said.

‘People who rejected me later invited me on stage’

Ravi Kishan said that when success finally arrived, it transformed his career completely.”I ended up winning all the Best Actor awards that year. I went on all those stages where people never used to invite me. They had always rejected me. No one believed I would ever achieve anything,” he recalled.According to the actor, those moments marked a full-circle journey after years of perseverance and self-belief.
