The investigation into the alleged Ram Temple donation theft case in Ayodhya has intensified, with police taking all eight individuals named in the FIR into custody following overnight questioning. According to officials and local reports, the accused are expected to undergo medical examinations before being produced in court, where investigators may seek police custody for further interrogation. The FIR was registered after evidence, including CCTV footage, was reportedly examined during the preliminary inquiry. Those named in the case include individuals responsible for temple administration and the counting of cash offerings. Police say the investigation remains ongoing and additional evidence is being scrutinized. Meanwhile, the case has triggered a fresh political and religious debate. Several opposition leaders and some saints have questioned why no senior member of the Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust has been named in the FIR. They have alleged that the investigation should also examine accountability at higher levels, while demanding a wider probe into the alleged financial irregularities. These remain allegations and have not been established in court. In a related development, reports claiming that a silver Kak Bhusundi idol had gone missing were dismissed after the idol was reportedly located at a designated worship area within the temple complex. Temple representatives have rejected allegations of wrongdoing and maintained that misleading claims are being circulated.
