Amy Adams recalls saving a stranger’s life

The actress, while talking about her life and career in the ‘Smartless’ podcast, revealed that one time she saved someone’s life. She revealed that she gets very focused if there is an emergency around her. When Will Arnett asked her to detail the matter, she revealed that there was a time when she saved someone’s life.”I’ve come across a couple of scenes where we’ve been sort of the first people on the scene”, she commented, further sharing that there was a time in Santa Monica when she was with her father and her husband and daughter, when she heard people yelling “‘he’s dying’” while her husband shouted that he could see blood. Adams revealed that she jumped right into action, told her husband to stay with their daughter, and ran over to help the man. She added, “He’d been stabbed in the neck, so he was bleeding, and his friends were freaking out. Luckily, we were going to the beach; we grabbed towels — my dad has been on lots of scenes [and] I guess he attracts them as well — and applied pressure. I’m sitting there, somehow going, ‘You need to calm your pulse rate. Take a deep breath in.’ I literally was just so focused. I was like, ‘The more you struggle, the faster you’re going to bleed. Just lay down. Let’s elevate this.’”She then even shared that the man survived and that she encountered him almost a year after the incident. She recalled that the man had his son with him, and got teary-eyed when talking to her and thanking her for saving him.In the episode, Sean Hayes, who hosts the show, had also recalled how, after filming an episode of ‘Will and Grace’, he also ended up getting into a similar situation of saving someone, who had gotten shot.
