It matters to young people.” A video of her speech, as well as those by Prince William and Benedict Cumberbatch, was also shared on the same account. The actress also posted about the events on her account. Sharing photos from the event, she wrote, “Wildlife trafficking is the tip of a very exploitative iceberg. The actress also recalled a hilarious incident during her speech when she thought many people with cameras were waiting for her near her residence. She stated, “And I thought, ‘Today’s the day. It’s happened, oh my goodness.’ So, [someone] went outside to address them and their long lenses and I snuck out to go another way, and it turned out that the men with the long lenses were actually not there for me, at all. They were there for a very rare bird, which is called a red kite. And they were trying to, basically, break into my back garden because they thought that one of these red kites was in our backyard.”Over the years, Watson has consistently made philanthropic efforts and used her voice to provide a stage to those who need it.
