The petrol-powered sport utility vehicle will be manufactured at the company’s Chennai plant, marking the latest addition to MINI’s India lineup under local production.
The model is priced at ₹47.5 lakh ($57,000) ex-showroom and is available in a single trim, with deliveries beginning immediately, the company said.
The Countryman C is powered by a 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 156 horsepower and 240 Nm of torque, paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission.
It features a digital interface, including a circular OLED touchscreen, and offers driver assistance systems such as cruise control and parking assistance.
