Scholarship initiative supports young students
The event where the video was recorded was organized by The Deverakonda Foundation. The initiative focused on recognizing academic excellence among students from government schools.Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna travelled to Thummanpet (Telangana) to participate in the programme. The village is special for Vijay Deverakonda’s family as it is the birthplace of his father. As part of the initiative, merit scholarships were distributed to first- and second-rank holders studying in Classes 9 and 10. Students from 45 government schools benefited from the programme.

Another video from the event has also gained attention online. In it, Vijay Deverakonda says, “In the COMING YEARS… we’ll be PROVIDING SCHOLARSHIPS to top students across TELANGANA. That’s my DREAM.”Rashmika also spent time interacting with the children and encouraged them to continue learning and growing through both successes and setbacks. Following the event Vijay Deverakonda shared a heartfelt message on social media, looking back on the first year of the scholarship programme.In his post, he wrote, “Another Good day . Just Wrapped year 1 of Scholarships to 45 schools – 180 students. Look forward to seeing you all again in 2027 June will work towards making it bigger. Lots of love from us all. Your man, Vijay.”On the work front, Vijay and Rashmika Mandanna will be next seen in ‘Ranabaali’.
