The Congress intensified its protest over the Meenakshi Natarajan nomination controversy as Madhya Pradesh Congress MLAs marched from the party headquarters in Delhi towards Rashtrapati Bhavan. However, Delhi Police set up barricades and prevented the legislators from proceeding further, detaining several of them and shifting them in police buses. The demonstration was led by Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar, with several MLAs attempting to cross the barricades before being stopped by security personnel. The party maintained that it would continue its fight both on the streets and in the courts, alleging that Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination was unfairly rejected by the Returning Officer despite being valid. At the same time, the Supreme Court was hearing the matter after scheduling the case for further proceedings. The Congress described the issue as a battle for justice and democracy, emphasizing that its legal challenge and public protests would continue until a resolution is reached.
