“On 07 Sep 2025 at about 2110 Hrs, BSF troops observed suspicious movement wherein a Pak National was observed crossing the IB and approaching aggressively towards the border fence in tehsil Suchetgarh, Jammu,” it mentioned.

“He was warned by alert troops but paid no heed. BSF troops, sensing a threat, fired on him. He was taken into BSF custody,” the PRO stated.

“Later on, during questioning, he revealed his identity as Siraaj Khan, S/o Zahid Khan, Village 27 Chak, Tehsil Bhalwal, District Sargodha, Punjab, Pakistan.”

“During the search, Pakistani currency was recovered from him. He has been handed over to the police. Protest being lodged with counterpart,” the release mentioned.

On Sunday, the BSF apprehended five persons and seized pistols, heroin and a drone on the Punjab border, ANI quoted the BSF Punjab as saying.

In a crackdown against narco-terror, BSF Punjab troops foiled multiple smuggling attempts along the border.

Acting on intelligence, BSF and the Anti Narcotic Task Force, Amritsar, apprehended one smuggler near Chabbal, Tarn Taran and seized 504 gms of heroin, a mobile and a bike from their possession.

Following the development, at Sur Singh Market, Tarn Taran, a joint team detained four smugglers with 5.032 kg heroin, two pistols, a Scorpio, four mobiles, two bikes and Rs 1,000 cash.

During night hours, vigilant troops intercepted a drone near Ranian, conducted a search operation and seized a DJI Air 3 drone with pistol parts and a magazine.

Yet another operation in Tarn Taran led to the recovery of pistol parts from fields near Wan village.

These major apprehensions and seizures highlight BSF’s dedicated efforts to safeguard borders and crush Pak-backed narco-terror networks, the BSF Punjab said.
