Fighting between Israel, Hezbollah, and Hamas continues to intensify, with southern Lebanon’s city of Tyre suffering significant damage. An Israeli strike reportedly hit the Jabal Amel Hospital, destroying part of the building, shattering windows, and damaging medical equipment. According to reports, 86 people, including healthcare workers, were injured. Health agencies have documented numerous attacks on medical facilities in Lebanon in recent months, raising concerns about the humanitarian situation. Meanwhile, the Israeli military said it killed four Hamas operatives in a drone strike, claiming they were involved in the October 7, 2023 attack on Israel that killed around 1,200 people and triggered the ongoing Gaza war. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) also announced a separate operation in Gaza in which five additional Hamas militants were killed. Israel has appointed Major General Roman Gofman as the new Mossad chief. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reiterated that Israel would not allow Iran to develop nuclear weapons. U.S. President Donald Trump stated that indirect talks with Iran continue, while Secretary of State Marco Rubio said Iran’s Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei remains active behind the scenes.
