Ram Charan starrer ‘Peddi’s Japan premiere postponed

Ram Charan starrer 'Peddi's Japan premiere postponed days before global theatrical launch on June 4

Global superstar Ram Charan’s highly anticipated pan-Indian sports drama, ‘Peddi’, has hit an unexpected roadblock just days before its grand theatrical launch. Riding high on the actor’s massive RRR fame in Japan, the makers had initially promised a simultaneous global premiere on June 4. However, in a sudden turn of events that has left overseas fans deeply disappointed, the same-day Japanese release has been officially cancelled due to unavoidable technical reasons, impacting the film’s initial global box office strategy.

Japan fans shocked by sudden release change

After the massive success of ‘RRR’ in Japan, Ram Charan gained a huge fan following in the country. Because of this popularity, the makers of ‘Peddi’ had initially planned a same-day release in Japan along with India. The news made Japanese fans extremely excited, and many Indian movie lovers living there were also preparing for the release. But just days before the film’s release, the team reportedly announced an unexpected change in plans. According to 123 Telugu, the Japanese version of ‘Peddi’ will not be released on June 4 due to unavoidable reasons.

Delay in Japan release disappoints overseas audience

The sudden cancellation of the same-day release has upset many fans online. Ram Charan’s followers in Japan are especially disappointed because they were eager to celebrate the film’s premiere at the same time as audiences in India. While the makers now plan to release the movie in Japan at a later date, fans feel a simultaneous global launch would have significantly boosted the film’s international box office numbers. Even so, anticipation for the theatrical release remains incredibly high across India and other global markets.

Star-studded cast adds to the buzz around ‘Peddi’

Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, ‘Peddi’ is said to be a sports action drama with emotional elements. The film stars Janhvi Kapoor as the female lead opposite Ram Charan. Popular actors Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyenndu, and Boman Irani are also playing important roles in the movie. Music for the film has been composed by A. R. Rahman.
