A major international security controversy has emerged after a New York Post report claimed an alleged assassination plot against Ivanka Trump, linking it to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC). According to the report, a 32-year-old suspect, identified as Mohammad Baqir Saad, was allegedly assigned to plan the attack and was arrested in Turkey in May before being extradited to the United States. Investigators reportedly recovered a blueprint of Ivanka Trump’s Florida residence, suggesting long-term surveillance and planning. The alleged motive is linked to past tensions between the US and Iran, particularly the killing of Iranian commander Qasem Soleimani during Donald Trump’s presidency. The report has intensified already strained US–Iran relations, especially as diplomatic talks between the two countries were underway. Analysts suggest the revelation could disrupt negotiations and escalate tensions further. Adding to the concern, a White House official shared a 17-second B-2 bomber video, sparking speculation that the US may be preparing for possible military action against Iran. At the same time, Pakistan’s Army Chief Asim Munir visited Tehran, attempting diplomatic engagement amid growing regional instability and failed mediation efforts so far.
