Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani welcomed a baby girl in July 2023 but are still searching for the perfect name, navigating family suggestions while Sidharth promotes his latest project. Their love story blossomed on the set of ‘Shershaah,’ though their recent post-baby projects have faced challenges at the box office, marking a mixed period for the couple.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani, who got married in February 2023, became parents to a baby girl on July 15. The couple has kept their daughter’s name and photos private. In their official Instagram announcement, they shared, ‘Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl.’

Still deciding on a name

While promoting his latest release Param Sundari on The Great Indian Kapil Show, Sidharth was asked by Kapil if he and Kiara had named their daughter. He replied that they haven’t decided yet and are still thinking. When Archana Puran Singh asked if they were getting name suggestions from relatives, he said they were receiving plenty, with family suggesting names from ancestors and relatives.

How their love story began

The couple’s love story started on the sets of the 2021 war drama Shershaah. Sidharth played Param Vir Chakra awardee and war hero Captain Vikram Batra, while Kiara portrayed his fiancée, Dimple Cheema. The film, released directly on Amazon Prime Video, was widely praised by both audiences and critics.

Baby announcement

Taking to their social media handles, the couple share the happy news with their fans, friends and followers, in joint statement read, “Our hearts are full and our world forever changed. We are blessed with a baby girl.” The note concluded with the two signing off with their names. The post featured a pink backdrop with cute heart balloons, and stars.

Box office struggles post-baby

On the work front, both Sidharth and Kiara’s first films after the birth of their daughter struggled at the box office. War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR, failed to meet expectations, while Param Sundari, featuring Janhvi Kapoor, faced criticism for its portrayal of South Indians. Go to Source
