The company said that once fully operational, the Kharkhoda manufacturing facility will become among Suzuki’s largest four-wheeler manufacturing locations globally, with a planned annual production capacity of 10 lakh vehicles.
Maruti Suzuki had earlier outlined plans to add 5 lakh units of manufacturing capacity during FY27, and the commissioning of the second Kharkhoda plant forms part of that expansion strategy, it said.
The company currently manufactures the compact SUV Brezza and the mid-size SUV Victoris at the Kharkhoda facility.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone for the Kharkhoda manufacturing facility in August 2022.
