Vietnamese EV maker VinFast has signed memoranda of understanding with 29 aftersales partners as part of its push to expand service operations across international markets, including North America, Europe, the Middle East, India, Indonesia, the Philippines and Kazakhstan.

The agreements were announced during the company’s Global Business Conference held in Hanoi from May 4 to May 10, where more than 200 investors and partners participated. Under the arrangements, local partners are expected to establish EV service workshops aligned with VinFast’s global standards in their respective markets.

The company said the network expansion will include technician training and certification programmes, standardized operating procedures and a spare-parts supply system aimed at delivering commonly required components within 24 hours in key markets.

VinFast said it had nearly 400 service workshops in Vietnam by the end of 2025, taking its total global aftersales network to around 800 facilities. The automaker is targeting more than 1,100 service workshops worldwide in 2026 through a mix of dealerships, fleet-focused service centres and third-party workshop partnerships.

“Through partnerships with experienced local operators and the application of VinFast’s global standards, we aim to provide aftersales services that are exceptional, responsive, and reliable,” said Bui Viet Hung, Deputy CEO of Global Aftersales of VinFast.

The expansion forms part of VinFast’s broader strategy to strengthen its global EV ecosystem, including aftersales support, charging infrastructure and customer services. The company also said it is working with partners such as V-Green and regional charging operators to expand charging access internationally, with a target of developing more than 1.5 million charging ports globally.

VinFast has been expanding overseas as it looks to increase its presence in key EV markets beyond Vietnam, with India among the focus regions for future growth.
