A major rescue operation took place in Punjab after a 4-year-old boy fell into a 30-foot-deep borewell near his house in Hoshiarpur. The incident triggered panic among family members and local residents, who immediately informed the police and administration. Teams from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) rushed to the spot and launched an extensive rescue operation. To ensure the child could breathe, rescuers first inserted an oxygen pipe into the narrow borewell and used cameras to track the boy’s exact location. A parallel pit over 30 feet deep was then dug beside the borewell, and a narrow passage was created to reach the child safely. After nearly nine hours of continuous efforts, the rescue teams successfully pulled the child out at around 12:40 AM. Residents celebrated the successful rescue with applause, while officials confirmed that the boy was completely safe and healthy.
