A fresh political controversy has emerged in West Bengal after an FIR was registered against Abhishek Banerjee, a senior leader and MP of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC). The case was filed at the Bidhannagar Cyber Crime Police Station over allegations related to a speech delivered during the West Bengal Assembly election campaign. According to the complaint, Abhishek Banerjee allegedly made provocative remarks and objectionable comments against Amit Shah, India’s Union Home Minister. The statements reportedly sparked controversy, leading to legal action under relevant sections connected to inflammatory speech and public communication.
