The speculation has brought an old interview into focus, in which Mouni spoke about how she and Suraj handled arguments after marriage. The actress said marriage brought a sense of stability and helped them reach common ground faster during disagreements. Neither Mouni nor Suraj has responded to the rumors yet.

In an old interview with Bollywood Bubble, Mouni said arguments are natural when two people live together. She explained that marriage changed the way she and Suraj handled conflict, making them feel more grounded.“What’s the point of prolonging this fight or this argument? So, you come to a middle ground much quicker than when you’re just boyfriend-girlfriend,” she had said.Mouni also spoke about ego in relationships. She said egos can become bigger than love itself, but the biggest change she and Suraj saw after marriage was learning to give more than they expected to receive.She added, “Give more love, give more understanding, and be there for each other more.”The actress said that when one partner gives with that intent, the other responds in kind. She also described Suraj as a wise and intelligent man.

Mouni Roy and Suraj Nambiar’s wedding details

Mouni and Suraj got married on January 27, 2022, in Goa. The couple had a destination wedding and followed both Bengali and Malayali traditions on the same day. In the same interview, Mouni revealed why they had two ceremonies. She said her mother wanted a Bengali wedding, while Suraj’s mother wanted a Malayali ceremony. The couple chose to honor both families and exchanged vows twice. The old comments have resurfaced amid divorce rumors about the couple spreading online. The speculation began after their Instagram activity drew attention, but neither side has issued an official statement.On the work front, Mouni will next appear in ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai’ with Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, and Mrunal Thakur. David Dhawan directs the film, which is set to release in theaters on June 5, 2026.
