‘I am healthy and happy’: Shakti Kapoor breaks silence on fake death news circulating online; says he will take legal action

Veteran actor Shakti Kapoor has reacted strongly to false rumours about his death that recently surfaced on social media. The actor personally addressed the claims through a video message, assuring fans that he is absolutely fine and urging people not to spread misinformation online.The rumours had left many fans worried, with several social media posts falsely claiming that the senior actor had passed away. Soon after the news began circulating online, Shakti Kapoor stepped in to clarify the situation himself.

‘My death news is all fake’

In a video shared on Instagram, the actor directly addressed his fans and followers while dismissing the rumours.“Hello everyone, my death news is all fake. I am healthy, happy. Please ignore it. I am going to complaint about it. But this is not good. That’s not good,” he said in the clip.The actor appeared calm but visibly disappointed over the spread of such false information. He also highlighted how upsetting and disturbing such rumours can be, not just for celebrities but also for their families and loved ones.

Shakti Kapoor says he will file complaint

Apart from clarifying that he is safe and healthy, Shakti Kapoor also revealed that he intends to take legal action against those responsible for spreading the fake news. The actor stressed that social media should not be misused to spread baseless rumours, especially involving sensitive matters like someone’s death.Soon after the video surfaced online, fans flooded the comment section with relieved reactions and supportive messages for the veteran actor.

A veteran of Hindi cinema

Shakti Kapoor remains one of the most popular and recognisable faces in Hindi cinema. During the 1980s and 1990s, he became known for both his comic timing and villainous performances.Over the years, the actor delivered memorable performances alongside actors like Asrani and Kader Khan, with the trio appearing together in more than 100 films. The actor was recently seen in Mere Husband Ki Biwi, where his performance once again received appreciation from audiences.
