‘Kartavya’ trailer out: Saif Ali Khan plays a 'Mahadev ka bhakt' cop torn between professional duty and family safety

Shah Rukh Khan’s ‘Kartavya’ stars Saif Ali Khan as a cop under pressure after a journalist is shot in his care. As he investigates a larger conspiracy, his family faces threats. Directed by Pulkit, the film also stars Rasika Dugal and others. Kartavya premieres on Netflix on May 15, 2026.

Shah Rukh Khan’s production ‘Kartavya’, led by Saif Ali Khan, will stream on OTT starting May 15, 2026. Recently, the makers unveiled the trailer at a Mumbai event on Thursday and received a positive response from the audience.

At the same time, his family faces threats due to a problem involving his brother, adding to his struggles. ‘Kartavya’ actor Saif Ali Khan on his role

According to ANI, Saif talked about the movie and said, “Pawan is a man constantly negotiating with himself, between what he believes is right, what’s expected of him, and what he must protect. What drew me to Kartavya is that it doesn’t offer easy answers; it puts you in uncomfortable spaces and forces you to ask what you would do when every choice comes at a personal cost. Working with Pulkit and the entire cast made this journey even more compelling and thrilling. It’s been especially exciting to collaborate with Red Chillies Entertainment for the first time on a project as layered as Kartavya”.
