Lavanya Tripathi reveals she was pregnant during ‘Sathi Leelavathi’ shoot; says, ‘I had no idea, when I came on board’

Actress Lavanya Tripathi will be next seen in the upcoming movie ‘Sathi Leelavathi’ directed by Tatineni Saty, sharing screen with Malayalam actor Dev Mohan in the lead. As the film is gearing up for a summer release, she shared some anecdotes from the sets, one such that she learnt she was pregnant during the shoot.

Found out about pregnancy during shoot

Lavanya Tripathi, who is married to Telugu actor Varun Tej, gave birth to their son Vaayuv in 2025. The actress added that she did not know she was pregnant when she signed the film, as per Cinema Express. She said she had no symptoms at first. Later, she realised the shoot was becoming difficult and she even lost weight for the role. “During the filming, I found out that I was pregnant. However, with the team’s support, I managed to complete the shoot smoothly,” she said.She further added, “When I came on board, I had no idea I was pregnant and had no symptoms. Later, I realised the shoot wouldn’t be easy, and I even lost weight for the role. I don’t know where I got the energy from. But going forward, if I know I’m pregnant, I will definitely take a break from shoots.”

Confident about ‘Sathi Leelavathi’

Lavanya Tripathi also shared that she had already watched the film with her manager and enjoyed it a lot. She said, “I have already watched Sathi Leelavathi with my manager, and we laughed a lot. The film has turned out really well, and I’m very confident about it. Now, I’m waiting to see how the audience receives it.”

In the film, Lavanya plays the role of a director. She said the relationships shown in the story are not something any woman would want in real life.The actress said she feels lucky to have a caring husband like Varun Tej. She shared that she is now happy spending time with her husband and son. Lavanya also confirmed that she has not signed any new projects yet because she wants to focus on her family life for some time.Talking about acting with her husband in the future, Lavanya said she would love to share screen space with Varun Tej if they get a unique and different story.
