'SVC63': 'Dhurandhar' star Akshaye Khanna, 'Pushpa' actor Fahadh Faasil approached to lock horns with Salman Khan- Reports

After the failure of ‘Sikandar’, Salman Khan is currently balancing two major projects, keeping fans eagerly anticipating his next big-screen appearances. The actor is set to star in ‘Maatrubhumi’, directed by Apoorva Lakhia, alongside Chitrangada Singh. The film is expected to release this year. Following this, Salman Khan has another high-profile project lined up, tentatively titled ‘SVC63’. Now a buzz regarding the villain in the film has arrived.

Akshaye Khanna Vs Fahadh Faasil

According to reports, Akshaye Khanna and Fahadh Faasil are currently in the running to play the villain in SVC63. Both actors are known for their powerful performances and distinct screen presence. As per the report in Mid Day the script demands someone who can stand toe-to-toe with Salman. Given the contrasting styles of both actors, the team is taking time to finalise the casting decision. The report also mentions that Arvind Swamy was earlier considered for the role.

Big names backing the Salman Khan project

‘SVC63’ brings together director Vamshi Paidipally and producer Dil Raju. The film also stars Nayanthara as the female lead, marking her first collaboration with Salman Khan.

Shoot progress and upcoming schedules of Salman Khan

The film has already completed its first schedule, with director Vamshi Paidipally wrapping up initial portions of the shoot. The team is now planning to head to Manali for the next schedule. Following this, a major leg of the shoot is expected to take place in Hyderabad. Reports suggest that the antagonist will be finalised before this schedule begins. Additionally, the face-off sequences between Salman Khan and the villain are likely to be shot during the Hyderabad leg.’SVC63′ is being planned as a grand theatrical release, with the makers eyeing an Eid 2027 launch. The film also marks Salman Khan’s first collaboration with Vamshi Paidipally and Dil Raju, adding to the anticipation.Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s other project, ‘Maatrubhumi’, has seen a slight delay. The film was initially scheduled to release in April, but the makers have postponed it. A new release date is yet to be announced.
