At the BJP headquarters in Kolkata, festive scenes continued as the party’s campaign theme song, “Parivartan Darkar, Chahe BJP Sarkar,” was played repeatedly. Party workers were seen dancing and celebrating as the atmosphere turned increasingly upbeat. Meanwhile, political debate intensified on television panels as representatives from different parties presented contrasting claims about the ongoing vote count. A spokesperson from the Trinamool Congress (TMC) stated that current trends should not be interpreted as final results, emphasizing that counting is still underway. He urged patience until all rounds are completed, expressing confidence that the situation would change in later stages of counting. The TMC representative claimed that the party remains hopeful of forming the government with around 200 seats, arguing that early leads in some areas do not reflect the final outcome. He added that EVM counting is still in progress and margins are shifting as results come in from different constituencies. However, the anchor pointed out that counting has already been underway for several hours, questioning the expectation of a major reversal at later stages.
