‘Death in Paradise’ renewed for two more ‘sun-soaked series and Christmas specials’

‘Death In Paradise’ is an ongoing detective drama that has been running since 2011. The show has seen a lot of highs and lows over the years and has managed to become a favourite amongst the masses. Now, as per the latest reports, the show, which has already been on the run for around 15 seasons, has yet again been renewed.

‘Death In Paradise’ renewed for two more seasons

As per the latest reports from BBC, the famed TV show ‘Death in Paradise’ has officially been renewed for another two seasons. It started airing earlier in 2011 and has been running for over 15 seasons. As per the reports, the new seasons have already begun filming in Guadeloupe from this week. The gang will be heading back to Saint Marie for at least two more seasons, which will make the show reach 17 seasons.

Cast of ‘Death in Paradise’

The hit detective soap opera series casts some of the most popular names in the industry. The show currently has Danny John-Jules, Kris Marshall, Sara Martins, Ben Miller, Gary Carr, Don Warrington, Joséphine Jobert, Élizabeth Bourgine, Tobi Bakare, Shantol Jackson, and many others. Talking about the renewal, Lindsay Salt, director of drama, stated that the show will be returning for “two more sun-soaked series and Christmas specials. ” She also praised the show and even called it a global phenomenon. Tim Kelly, another big name behind the show’s development, also talked about the same and stated that as the filming begins, they have “something very special lined up to kick off its 16th season.”

The British-French crime comedy-drama follows the premise of a London-based detective getting reassigned to a small and fictional town of Saint Marie.
