The security guard attack in Mumbai’s Mira Road has taken a serious turn after Maharashtra ATS took over the investigation. The accused, Zuber Ansari, was arrested after allegedly stabbing two security guards and is now under intense scrutiny. ATS conducted raids in Mumbai and Thane, recovering multiple electronic devices including mobiles, laptops, tablets, and pen drives from three locations linked to him. Preliminary findings suggest possible radicalisation, as documents and notes recovered from his possession reportedly mention terms like ISIS, lone wolf jihad, and Gaza. Authorities also suspect he had been consuming extremist online content and may have been influenced by a radicalisation network. The accused, who lived in a rented flat in Asmita Residency, Mira Road, allegedly asked the victims about their religion before attacking them with a knife. CCTV footage helped in his arrest. The investigation is ongoing to determine possible links, motives, and external influence behind the attack.
