A school teacher in Parikshitgarh, Bihar, is accused of allegedly asking the young student to go to a hotel. But soon, the girl informed her family about the incident. Concerned for her safety, the family immediately approached the police and filed a complaint.

Authorities registered a case under the POCSO Act, which deals with the protection of children from sexual offences, along with charges related to threatening the student. The accused teacher, Anurag from Dabthala, was arrested after the police investigation.

Following the arrest, the school management took action and suspended him for two months while further investigation continued. The incident has raised concerns among parents and local residents about student safety and the responsibility of school staff. Police are investigating the matter thoroughly to ensure justice for the student and to prevent such incidents in the future.

According to CO Sadar Dehat Shiv Pratap Singh, the student had filed a complaint at the local police station. She informed the police that on August 23, her assistant teacher, Anurag, called her during class and asked her to visit the OYO Hotel with him. When she refused, he threatened her, but the student first informed the principal about the incident and later told her family. Following her complaint, a formal report was lodged against Anurag, following which he was arrested.

The school management later took action and suspended the teacher while the case is under investigation. CO Sadar Dehat added that the accused teacher will be presented in court. Police are now looking into the matter further to ensure the safety of students and to handle the case according to the law.

In an earlier incident, Hoshiarpur (Punjab) authorities registered a case against a government school teacher under the POCSO Act for inappropriately touching a 12-year-old student. The incident reportedly took place on October 19, 2024, during the girl’s lunch break. The English teacher called the Class Z student to the school’s Art and Craft room, where he usually conducted lessons instead of the regular classroom. There, he offered the girl a banana and made inappropriate comments.
