On Friday, Guru took to his Instagram Stories to share a screenshot of the analytics of the song ‘Azul’. The screengrab highlighted the song’s performance, showing over 107,200 views in the last hour and over 27,000 searches on YouTube.And amid the backlash, the singer, who wrote and composed the song with additional lyrics by Gurjit Gill, chose to share a message of gratitude and positivity. The controversy has started from the music video’s narrative and visuals. In the video, Guru Randhawa portrays a photography teacher. The visual representation has been widely condemned for its portrayal of a photographer being “visibly captivated” by a school student, which many viewers find to be a highly inappropriate theme.The singer has not directly addressed the issue or released any official statement for the controversy. However, after the backlash, he decided to turn off his comment section on his Instagram account.
