Danish Pandor, who earned widespread acclaim for his portrayal of gangster Uzair Baloch in Aditya Dhar’s spy thriller Dhurandhar, has opened up about the impact the film has had on his life and career. In a candid interview, the actor spoke about the deep connection he has built with audiences, the making of his standout performance, and his heartfelt gratitude toward director Aditya Dhar.

Danish Pandor on courting love from fans after ‘Dhurandhar’

Speaking to Just Too Filmy recently, Danish opened up about how ‘Dhurandhar’ has earned him true appreciation and fan adoration. “Zindagi mein bahut tabdiliyat hui hai Dhurandhar ke baad. Connections bahut acche jude hain puri awaam ke saath, toh voh bahut khoobsurat hai (A lot has changed in my life after Dhurandhar. I’ve built a beautiful connection with the audience, and that has been very special). It’s like a validation for me that I have been able to justify what I have done because people are showing so much love,” the actor shared.

Danish Pandor recalls ‘Dhurandhar’ script reading

In the interview, Danish explained that Aditya Dhar shared the movie’s synopsis during their first meeting and later gave him the script, but wouldn’t let him take it home. Danish said Aditya told him to read it right there in the office. He mentioned it took about three hours to go through the 175-page script, and he didn’t pause once because the story hooked him completely.

After the film’s release, Danish posted a heartfelt note thanking director Aditya Dhar. He wrote, “Thank you so, so much, @adityadharfilms sir, once again for making me a part of this magnificent vision of yours and gifting me ‘Uzair’ Working with you hasn’t just been an experience; it’s been a feeling I’ll carry for life!! Helmed by Aditya Dhar, ‘Dhurandhar’ is a two-part spy thriller tracking an Indian agent, portrayed by Ranveer Singh, who goes undercover in Lyari’s gangs to take down a deadly terror outfit.
