Ahead of his 'gharelu' wedding to Gauri Spratt, Aamir Khan cheers on Rajkumar Hirani's son and 'Pritam and Pedro' actor Vir Hirani: 'He is like my son, I'm so happy'

Aamir Khan praised Vir Hirani’s acting debut in Rajkumar Hirani’s first OTT venture, “Pritam and Pedro,” calling it an emotional day and describing Vir as being like his son. Directed by Avinash Arun, the cybercrime comedy-drama also stars Arshad Warsi, Vikrant Massey, and Boman Irani. It premiered on JioHotstar on July 3.

With Rajkumar Hirani’s OTT debut ‘Pritam and Pedro’ now streaming, Bollywood star Aamir Khan heaped praise on debutant Vir Hirani and the show’s entire team.

Aamir Khan gets emotional over Vir Hirani’s journey

In a heartfelt note, Aamir spoke about his pride in Vir, describing it as an incredible feeling to watch the youngster step into a new chapter of his life and grow into a hardworking, talented professional. The actor said, “Vir is like my son, so today is a very emotional and special day for me. I’ve seen him grow up over the years, and it’s incredibly fulfilling to watch him step into this new phase of his journey with ‘Pritam and Pedro’. He’s always been a bright, thoughtful, and hardworking young man, and I’m so happy to see him making his debut.”

Extending his best wishes to Vir and the ‘Pritam and Pedro’ team, ‘Mr Perfectionist’ further added, “I have no doubt that this is just the beginning of many wonderful things to come. I wish Vir and the entire team of ‘Pritam and Pedro’ all the love and success. I hope audiences enjoy the series and shower it with the same warmth with which it has been made.”

Rajkumar Hirani’s first long-format OTT venture

Created, written, and produced by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘Pritam and Pedro’ marks his first major venture into the long-format OTT space. The series also sees Vir Hirani, the acclaimed director’s son, making his acting debut, in which he plays the role of a young hacker named Pritam Parker.
