‘Game of Thrones’ marks 15 yrs with NEW TRAILER

15 years of ‘Game of Thrones’: Daenerys Targaryen, Jon Snow return in new trailer celebrating 'Reign of Thrones'

It has been 15 years since ‘Game of Thrones’ officially debuted on television, and to mark the special day, the makers released a special trailer, celebrating the legacy of the fantasy franchise. Although the series first premiered on April 17, 2011, the makers on Wednesday, released a trailer celebrating the world of Westeros that went on to become a global phenomenon. The newly released trailer blends iconic moments from the original show with footage from spin-offs, including ‘House of the Dragon’ and ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’. “When you play the game of thrones, you win or you die” Cersei Lannister says in the opening lines of the trailer, as the video revisits some iconic moments in the show, including the Battle of the Bastards and the Red Wedding, before featuring glimpses of the new seasons.

Upcoming Game of Thrones spin-offs to look forward to

While the original GOT series finale became one of the most hated finales of all time, HBO has since managed to appease fans with the long list of spin-offs, expanding the world created by George RR Martin. ‘House of the Dragon’, which chronicles the Targaryen civil war, is set to return for its third season in June, with Emma D’Arcy reprising her role of Rhaenyra Targaryen. Meanwhile, ‘A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms’ has already been renewed for a second season ahead of its debut, with plans to adapt The Sworn Sword, the second novella in Martin’s Dunk and Egg series.Other series also being developed, include ‘Aegon’s Conquest’, which will explore the origins of Targaryen rule in Westeros. An animated series titled ‘Nine Voyages’, which will follow the early adventures of Corlys Velaryon, a character portrayed by Steve Toussaint in ‘House of the Dragon’.Another prequel, ‘10,000 Ships’, centred on the warrior queen Nymeria, is also in development.
