Suryakumar teases Bumrah with Dhurandhar 2 dialogue

'Dhurandhar 2' viral scene recreated by Jasprit Bumrah, Suryakumar Yadav after Mumbai Indians win against KKR, netizens react

The ‘Dhurandhar 2’ fever has literally taken over the internet and has now also reached IPL, quite evidently. A promotional clip was made by team Mumbai Indians where Jasprit Bumrah was seen washing his face when a teammate asks him, “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi tujhe jassi.” Dhurandhar 2 Movie ReviewFor those not in the know, this is in reference to the viral scene from ‘Dhurandhar 2’ between Ranveer Singh’s character Hamza aka Jaskirat and Udaybir Sandhu’s character Pinda who turns out to be his childhood friend. The running joke about Bumrah “not missing home” began back in March when his wife, sports presenter Sanjana Ganesan, shared a humorous meme online.

After the promotional video, a new video has now surfaced. After Mumbai Indians’ win over Kolkata Knight Riders in an IPL 2026 clash on Tuesday, the celebrations inside the MI locker room came with this this ‘Dhurandhar 2′ scene again. In a video shared by the team, Nita Ambani is seen applauding Jasprit Bumrah, fondly calling him “Boom boom Bumrah” after his standout bowling performance. As teammates cheered and she presented him with a badge, Suryakumar Yadav lightened the moment by quoting a popular dialogue, saying, “Ghar ki yaad nahi aayi, Jassi? (Didn’t you miss home, Jassi?)” The room erupted in laughter, with Bumrah and Nita both smiling at the playful jab.’Dhurandhar 2’, helmed by Aditya Dhar is the sequel to the 2025 hit Dhurandhar. The story continues to follow spy Jaskirat Singh Rangi, also known as Hamza Ali Mazari (played by Ranveer Singh), as he infiltrates a Baloch gang in Lyari, Pakistan.
