With the clock ticking down to his upcoming wedding, Bollywood star Aamir Khan is revealing details about the celebrations in store.The actor, who is set to wed for the third time, has revealed that his wedding to lady love, Gauri Spratt, on July 5 will be a rather intimate affair. Confirming the news to Deccan Chronicle, the actor revealed that he will wed Gauri in a simple celebration rather than a lavish wedding.

In a statement to the news outlet, he said, “It will be a very simple registered marriage at home, with just both the families and really close friends. We both want to keep it very basic.” This update comes weeks after the actor first confirmed the news to Variety India, his plans to tie the knot again. He said, “The news about the marriage is true. It’s on July 5.” While going to admit that marriage was not their top priority, he later said, “But now we both feel we are ready to take our relationship to the next level.”

Aamir Khan to pause work on ‘3 Idiots 2’

With the wedding just two weeks away, the actor has reportedly stepped away from professional commitments to focus on the prep for the big day. Following the nuptials, Aamir is reportedly expected to return to the sets for filmmaker Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘3 Idiots 2’, the sequel to the 2009 blockbuster ‘3 Idiots’. According to reports, the film is set to revisit the beloved story and its characters – Rancho, Farhan, and Raju. As per reports, the film’s story will pick up about 10 years after the events of the first film.

While keeping details about the project under wraps, Aamir shared, “I don’t know what Raju (Hirani) has planned. But yes, all of us in the film have moved on in life, naturally!
