iPhone 18 Leaks: Apple is still months away from its next big iPhone reveal, but the rumour mill is already running at full speed. The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are expected to be announced in September 2026, in line with Apple’s usual fall launch schedule. What makes this cycle different, though, is the reported plan to split the rollout across multiple phases, with the standard iPhone 18 potentially not hitting shelves until Spring 2027.

Here is everything that is currently known about the timeline and what these devices might bring to the table.

What Is The Expected Release Timeline For The iPhone 18 Series?

Based on leaks and rumours, Apple appears to be planning a three-phase launch for the iPhone 18 lineup. The premium iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max are set for a September 2026 announcement and release.

A foldable iPhone, often referred to as the iPhone Fold or Ultra, is also expected to be unveiled around the same time, though its shipping date may be pushed to December 2026 due to the complexity of its display technology.

The entry-level and mainstream models, including the iPhone 18, iPhone 18e, and a possible second-generation iPhone Air, are reportedly lined up for a March 2027 launch.

What New Features Could The iPhone 18 Lineup Bring?

On the hardware side, the entire lineup is expected to run on Apple’s A20 chip, built on a 2nm process, with an A20 Pro variant reserved for the higher-end models.

Apple is also rumoured to introduce its first in-house 5G modem, called the C2, which is said to offer better power efficiency. Design-wise, reports suggest a smaller Dynamic Island across all models, possibly achieved by moving certain Face ID components under the display.

The Pro Max model may also come with a variable aperture lens on its main camera, giving users more control over lighting and depth of field.
